GIS was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of Vartan Product Support GmbH in Hamburg, Germany. The intention of serving the after-sales and overhaul market gave birth to the idea of expanding the work-scope of the Vartan Group. While Vartan satisfies the needs of cabin interior manufacturers on-site at Airbus facility locations such as Hamburg, Toulouse and Tianjin, GIS is able to deal with challenges appearing as soon as the aircraft are delivered to the airlines and go into service.

Global Interior Support GmbH works for cabin interior manufacturers in their production lines, for airlines during checks during airport stopovers and for VIP and MRO Stations assisting the cabin furnishing and manufacturing of high-end monuments.
