Vartan Product Support GmbH was founded in 1997 in Germany by Herant Vartan to care for the needs of cabin interior manufactures at the Airbus Final Assembly Line in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The idea was to concentrate several OEM´s enabling them to fulfill their requirements in relation to Airbus on site with flexible and cost-effective solutions by being the link between suppliers, costumers, airlines and aircraft manufacturers.
Over the years Vartan has grown with its existing suppliers and their programs at Airbus A320-Family. When the A380 was first launched at the end of 2005 the time had come to decide in which direction Vartan should go. Today Vartan employs nearly one hundred mechanics and office workers including a second Managing Director, a Director and a Quality Manager, who certified Vartan GmbH with EN / AS 9100 in 2007.
Besides the Head Office in Hamburg, Vartan founded their wholly owned subsidiary Vartan Product Support Sarl in France in 2007 to ensure support at the Airbus facility in Toulouse for the Long Range programs and for work passed on from Hamburg.
Furthermore, a Rep Office was established in 2008 at the new Airbus A320-Final Assembly Line in Tianjin, PR China.
Not only based at Airbus, Vartan Product Support GmbH is working for well-known MRO Stations such as Lufthansa Technik and JetAviation on their maintenance and VIP programs.
In order to care for airline and customer needs after aircraft delivery an additional wholly owned subsidiary, Global Interior Support GmbH (GIS), was founded in early 2006. GIS assists manufactures in production lines, offers after-sales-service and is able to provide its maintenance expertise either at its own Maintenance Center in the north of Hamburg (just thirty minutes away from Hamburg Airport) or worldwide with their EASA part 145 approval.
Vartan Product Support GmbH and its branches are currently subcontracted to twenty Airbus-Suppliers an MRO Stations and are still expanding its business.
